It’s the second weekend of May, and that electricity is in the air…VBLI’s Summer Series is back and kicks off with an all-day VolleyParty at the park. Take your pick of formats, roll up with your friends and start off the outdoor season on a high note!

The first beach tournaments in over a decade, so let’s throw it back to (just prior) VBLI’s original beach era! Reach into the back of those closets for the finest in 90s and early-2000s fashions, or curate an athletic look inspired by that time…just to get sand in all of the pockets and places!

Let’s face it: who hasn’t rolled out of bed the morning of an all-day volleyball tournament. So, let’s normalize this phenomenon and go from bed to beach rocking the pajama bottoms and slumber party-wear with no shame or f**ks to give. And instead of the coolest pillow fort, some rockin’ sandcastles

Happy Pride Month! While welcome all year-round, the LGBTQIA+ community and their allies are invited to ball out for a great cause. Dab yourselves up in rainbow-colored everything and indulge in the colorful vibes…but don’t forget to bring that same old VolleyIntensity.

Summer has officially arrived and solsticed hard, so come celebrate these extra long and sunny days with, what else, Volleyball!

The country is another year older, and that’s a good enough reason to party! The volleyball courts are summoning everyone near and afar for some great exercise in-between hitting up the barbecues and cookouts. Dress up in those red, white and blue colors and show Nickerson Beach Park your colors.

We’re approaching the half-way mark of the Summer Series, and the Volleyball action refuses to let up. Rally your squad for a fun, competitive day at the beach because it’s peak-Vibes, the out-of-office auto-responder is on and nothing else matters, right?!

Why celebrate the holiday season in November/December when the Summer weather alone is reason enough! Let’s show Long Island that the time of year is merely a suggestion and volleyball players bring the festivities wherever they go. Deck yourselves out in holiday-specific flourishes while you play.

Perhaps it's wearing some wackadoo anime fashions or hair styles, or a classic superhero outfit that naturally lends itself to an athletic competition…regardless, this day is all about escaping from the real world into this other-worldly dimension where Volleyball and Con-life unite!
